Central Heating Radiators
When most people mention rads, these are what they mean. Trade radiators or panel radiators - the staple of most houses and available in types 11, 21, 22. What do the types 11, 21, 22 mean, and which one do I need?
11 - single panel, single convector
One panel and one connector make this the thinnest and lightest type of radiator. Great for space saving where you want to reduce how far it projects from the wall.
21 - double panel, single convector
Two panels have increased heat output due to the increased surface area, but only one convector means it doesn't take up as much space as a 22 type.
22 - double panel, double convector
Like type 21, this has two panels producing heat, but this time also has two convectors (one for each panel), which means it has a gap between the panel is twice a big. Excellent heating output, but it takes up the most space of all the radiator types.
33 - triple panel, triple convector
This type isn't as standard, and you need a lot of space. Three panels, three convectors. More common in schools, universities, and commercial properties.
Towel Radiators
Towel radiators are usually found in the bathroom, as they are a great way to heat the room and have space to hang and dry towels. They are available in a flat and curved design as standard.
Designer Radiators
If you would like something a bit more eye-catching and a little more unique, a designer radiator is a great way to grab some attention for a feature wall. We are happy to help with all radiator installations, whether it's a standard radiator or designer.
Column Radiators
Unlike a panel radiator, which has a panel that fills with water, a column radiator has individual columns and gaps between them. These breaks mean the surface area is increased and therefore can produce a lot of heat. Great if you have space.
Cast Iron Radiators
They look like a traditional radiator that may make you think about old manor houses in the centuries gone. These classic radiators give character to any property. They are heavy, so they aren't always hung on the wall; instead, they have legs/feet to support them.
Aluminium Radiators
Because of the thermal properties of aluminium, an aluminium radiator heats up a lot quicker and produces an extremely high heat output. They can be cheaper to run depending on how you use your heating. They are highly resistant to corrosion with an excellent lifespan. They are also an eco-friendly choice for the environment as they are easy to recycle.
